Art of Mara-Cassia (AKA: Lance Girl). Originally started to be used on a Subeta profile, but not sure if I will still go with it, only because it took way to long and I am sick of seeing it.
It was originally supposed to show a bit about their world/human culture, in that it is kind of asian-y by also pretty aztec-y. Only... She's a dryad (an outsider of human culture) and so is only allowed to wear the really basic stuff of the lower social orders. Well played, self! XD Should have done a priestess or something, because they can wear the colourful robes and full paint and ornaments. texture from cgtextures (More character info, for the interested: Mara-Cassia's father was a dryad by choice, a human that chose to life his life in the service of the forest lord, Praruvaset, in order to make up for the past transgressions of humans. They are granted special abilities by the forest lord in order to help with their task. Cassia was born into the dryad lifestyle, but she has what is known as a "wayfaring spirit", which means that she is predestined to resist her station (Praruvaset, himself, was born with a wayfaring spirit, but does not appreciate the quality in others). Upon becoming an adult, she left the dryad culture and reintegrated herself with humans. There is more, but I'll save that for another pic.  ) |
