Name: Hilaj (High-la)
Height: 5'8"

Gender: Female
Town: Sen'nahat Desert
Personality: Hilaj tries to take things in stride, and rarely worries about situations, even if they seem to pose mortal danger. This is because, on her home world, she is a worshiper of the luck god Dago, whose avatar is a silver-point cat. She truly and honestly believes that her destiny (and the destiny of all others, even non-worshippers) is reliant on the fickle whims of a cat, and that all actions to her detriment or gain are unpreventable, and so she should just "go with the flow". This does not, however, mean that she inactive in her own fate. For example, if she chooses to climb a tree to pick an apple, she does so by her own action. However, it is Dago who decides if she falls from the tree to her death, or if the apple is rotten.

Raised in the slums by a single mother, they had very little to get by on, and so she learned to be resourceful, repairing things even once the had reached the point of near unfixability, and discovering ways to repurpose and reuse the things in their life. Her mother always taught her that no matter how poor they were, manners were free. She does not abide rudeness, and has a special disdain for those who use their power to abuse others, something she has regretfully seen too much of.

Is there anything you feel very STRONGLY that your character NOT be drawn doing?: Not that I can think of at the moment.

Other:
Hilaj is a treasure hunter. Her home nation, once part of a great empire, has been under occupation by enemies for over a century. These enemies have stamped out much of her people's culture, and so raiding the tombs and ruins of her race's former dominion not only provides her with a source of income, but also a degree of cultural identity that she could not otherwise hope to have.

Because of her perilous line of work, in addition to being a single woman in a war-torn land full of sometimes-sadistic enemy soldiers, Hilaj is a competent fighter. More importantly, she could easily be described as a "combat pragmatist" - she is not afraid to fight dirty or run away when the situation calls for it.
